Offered is one of six of the transfer-printed porcelain decorative plates from the “Le Conquête Du Cosmos” series designed by Spanish artist Salvador Dalí and Argillet for Limoges (France) in 1973. Six different subjects based on several of Dalí’s original etchings depicting his imagery of the conquest of space from the late 1960s were selected, and Raynoud was commissioned to create the plates.

Numbered 223 out of 4,000, this one is titled “La Caducée de Mars alimenté par la boule de feu de Jupiter” (translation: “The Caduceus of Mars Nourished by Jupiter’s Ball of Fire”), and measures 8.75″ in diameter, 1″ in height.
